This was a cover for Vogue in the 50s, I believe.

So which one am I and which ones are Julie and Naoko?
A promotional still of Ronald Reagan in his acting days.

Look at him holding the hand of a communist. What a pinko.

rooms of gloom

I'm supposed to be writing a paper right now. But I'm not.

I feel like this image is appropriate for today. A babe in sable being bombarded by buddhisattvas. This is how I feel, as I attempt to articulate utter nonsense into an appealing argument for 6-8 pages.

The photograph was taken by George Hamill. Wish me luck.

lousy weekend weather

Of course, another cat...

I don't know why that woman is pictured wearing a sack. Not very fashionable, I would think. I do, however, like her turtleneck/brooch idea. I will need to try that. I wish I owned about 1,232,254 more turtlenecks. I don't think I'll ever own enough, especially if this winter turns out to be as frigid and miserable as the past few days have been. I miss the sun.

doppelgänger

I've been so busy in the past couple of days I hadn't a chance to post another photo. Instead I've been studying for an upcoming geology exam (do you know the difference between noncomformity, discomfority and uncomformity as applied in relative dating?) and thinking about the pagan influences in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Very interesting, I'm sure.

Since Naoko was talking about something she was told she resembled, I think I'll do the same:

Pattie Boyd is the former wife of both George Harrison and Eric Clapton. She was a model in the 60s when George Harrison met her. Eric Clapton's song "Layla" was about his unrequited love for her (it was written while she was still married to George Harrison). I think Eric Clapton actually went out with her sister for a while just because she looked similar to Pattie. Anyway, to be honest I don't want to see the resemblance because I find her teeth to be even uglier than my own. But I've been told this by multiple people throughout my life. Maybe I might have been flattered if George was my favorite Beatle, however I'm afraid he is not.

I don't think I have any better pictures of her, but if you Google her you can decide for yourself.
